Duplicate Detection is Back in MS CRM 2013!
With all of the great features that Microsoft introduced with the release of Dynamics CRM 2013, there was one glaring issue that all existing customers felt.
What happened to Duplicate Detection?
The ability to detect duplicates through the user interface (UI) during record creation had been removed, possibly due to the new auto-save features in 2013. This was critical functionality for many of our customers that was being used in previous versions.
Microsoft listened to their partners and customers and Duplicate Detection is BACK in 2013!!
The Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Spring ’14 and CRM 2013 Service Pack 1 release brings back the capability to detect duplicates when creating or updating records using entity forms or grid views in the Web application. Additionally, there is NEW capability to detect duplicates in CRM for tablets.
